Carnival will be the main attraction every weekend in February. Allegorical floats will parade in Signa and Dicomano on 17 and 24 of the February. Carnevale Mugellano will kick off in Borgo San Lorenzo on 10 February, while Sesto Fiorentino will celebrate the festival on the 24th. Carnevale dei Bambini, the children’s carnival will take place in Vinci, Figline Valdarno and San Casciano every Sunday of the month
For the Museums: In the past few weeks State Museums in Florence have started offering young people aged 18-25 free entry every monday to Palazzo Vecchio, Museo Novecento, Museo Stefano Bardini, the Brancacci Chapel and Fondazione Salvatore Romano. The pilot scheme will be carried out throughout 2019

Fairs and Festivals: The first Bright Festival will take place in Florence from the 21 to 23 February. The most acclaimed representatives of the digital arts, lighting design and electronic music will hold workshops and masterclasses at Stazione Leopolda and at The Student hotel Florence
Among other guests is legendary 3D animator Craig Caton-Largent, from the US. For details visit brightfestival.com

Danza in Fiera will be back at Fortezza da Basso from the 21 to the 24 February. Over the past 13 years the event has established itself as the largest international trade fair dedicated to dancing and ballroom dancing.
Finally for the sports, from the 14 to 17 February, Mandela Forum will host the Postemobile Final Eight. the eight finalists of the first round of the LBA season will compete over four days to win the Italian Basketball cup. If you are in for some winter fun, The Florence Winter Park will still be open until 24 February bringing the magic of snow to Lungarno Aldo Moro.
