Florence and metropolitan area: events in February 2022

Here is a rundown of events scheduled for February 2022 in Florence and the surrounding area. The announcements are taken from Feel Florence, the official tourism site of the Municipality of Florence and the metropolitan city area

All events may be subject to restrictions, cancellation or variation due to the ongoing health crisis.
Dante 700 – In collaboration with the Uffizi Gallery, The Museo Galileo is holding an exhibition, until 6th March, dedicated to Dante and his knowledge in the field of science.
Exhibitions – At the Palazzo Medici Riccardi Museum, until March it will be possible to visit the exhibition on Benozzo Gozzoli, dedicated to the birth of the Chapel of the Magi. Extended to 23rd February, at the Cattedrale dell’immagine of Florence, the exhibition “Inside Dalì” is open, dedicated to the Catalan artist. The Museum of the 1900s is holding “Leoncillo-L’antico” until 1st May, a new event dedicated to the great Italian masters of the 20th century.
The Palazzo Pretorio of Figline Valdarno is hosting an exhibition dedicated to 40 years of local restorations, open until 20th February. A multimedia exhibition about Leonardo’s studies in architecture is on show in the Sala del Podestà of the Conti Guidi Castle in Vinci until 27th February. In Montespertoli, the Museo dell’Arte Sacra is holding “Giotto’s Followers in Valdelsa”, extended until 3rd April. In Vicchio you may delve into prehistory, until 28th February, with “Jurassic Park”.
